On the 49th independence anniversary of Nigeria

London, UK.

Arisenigeria continues to believe in the corporate future of Nigeria and the great potential that remains unrealised.

Arisenigeria therefore calls on Nigerians to create or join in creating the atmosphere a peaceful political change.  Where ever you live and no matter your situation you certainly have something to offer in changing the fortunes of this country.

Join a local or lead the creation of creating a community change movement to organise, discuss the problems of Nigeria, think of the problems (why is Nigeria finding it difficult to join the rank of emerging great economies or become a developed nation?), build leadership networks and together we can change the present direction our country and our futures seem to be sliding towards.

All Nigerians should now realise that leaving the ship of state to the fabled leaders is myth that exists only in the minds of those who want to keep them in the George Orwell’s world of animal farm.

Nigerians can no longer continue to lament their lot if they are not willing to deliver themselves from the elements that continue to prevent the people from actualising their God given potentials. We are convinced however that the Nigerian people have the capacity to push and break down the barriers to our collective National development in order to enjoy the benefits of the abundance of our God given resources.

Therefore arisenigeria calls on all Nigeria to arise to the task of reclaiming the destinies and those of their children by:

  • Getting organised for a mass political change for good governance and political transparency
  • Seek and share knowledge, and seek inspiration to deliver ourselves from the presence pervasive atmosphere of hopelessness, poverty, insecurity, widespread political corruption and the damnable state of National institutions.
  • Build networks across local communities – wherever you live, in your town associations, in your places of worship. It is time to arise in determination to take your community back and choose your leaders. It is now time to refuse to accept leadership imposition at all levels of government in Nigeria.
  • Arisenigeria urges you to take deliberate steps to orientate yourself and others in your network because all men are created equal – that all Nigerians have a right to the proverbial National cake, that all Nigerians have right to be nourished from our common pot of God given riches of the commonwealth.
  • Again we urge all Nigerians to take the steps to build leadership from the  grass root upwards and to now stand resolute to reject the current Top to bottom approach – which is very akin to the “tail wagging the dog” . Power in the hands of (wo)men should belong to Nigerian people and not a select anointed “ruling elite/class”.
  • In this endeavour we call on Nigerians to make a commitment to change our country for the better, for our common good and for prosperous and glorious future.

On this our 49th independence anniversary, we have the faith, that the eagle will surely soar above the present forces of darkness and through the eye of the storm our emergence as a great country respected worldwide is certain.

Happy anniversary mother Nigeria!!!
